Alvin R. Ball

I am the founder of InfoTel Global and a geopolitical intelligence and global security professional with more than three decades of experience in military service, law enforcement, diplomatic security, corporate security, counterterrorism, and risk management.

My career began in the U.S. Army, where I served for more than 20 years and developed experience in communications, leadership, operational planning, personnel management, physical security, and mission support. While continuing my military service, I joined the Dallas Police Department. During my law enforcement career, I conducted investigations, reviewed evidence, interviewed witnesses, supported surveillance operations, prepared reports, and responded to complex public-safety incidents.

After retiring honorably from both the U.S. Army and the Dallas Police Department, I served as a Diplomatic Security Specialist supporting U.S. Department of State operations in Afghanistan. Working in a high-threat environment strengthened my experience in protective security, executive protection, secure transportation, anti-terrorism, emergency response, threat awareness, and risk mitigation.

I currently serve as a Global Security Specialist with GM Financial. My responsibilities include supporting corporate security operations, incident response, executive protection, threat monitoring, travel security, and geopolitical intelligence. My work focuses on helping organizations move from a reactive security posture to a proactive, intelligence-led approach.

I am also the founder of InfoTel Global, a geopolitical intelligence consulting firm that helps organizations understand how geopolitical events, security threats, regulatory changes, trade policy, and global disruptions may affect their people, operations, supply chains, market access, and business strategy.

My academic background includes an Associate of Arts in Counterterrorism Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security, and a Master of Science in International Relations with a concentration in Intelligence. My education, combined with operational experience, allows me to assess complex risks through both a security and strategic business lens.

I use open-source intelligence, structured analytical methods, and geopolitical frameworks to identify emerging risks, assess organizational exposure, and provide leaders with clear and practical intelligence. My goal is to explain what is happening, why it matters, what may happen next, and what organizations should do to prepare.
